Chickee's Page
OK, here's the story: My given name is Melissa, but when I was a baby, my uncle declared that I was a "cute little chickee" - and the name stuck! I wish there was some deep inner meaning, but it's as simple as that.
I was born in New York, but lived in Vienna, Austria and Denver, Colorado as a child before settling in Southern California. And while I LOVE to travel and explore the world [check out our travel pages!], I'm here to stay.
Before I became a Mommy, I was a second grade teacher at Robinson Elementary for 11 years.
